Craig’s List Dresser Makeover … Complete! 18

Something major happened this weekend. I finally completed a project that I’ve been working on for 7, SEVEN, months. Behold, the finished product: I picked up this dresser just a couple of months after we moved into our house last year (read more about it here) and it’s been sitting in our garage, in various stages of being made over, since then. Here’s what it looked like before… Crazy, right?! I knew when I saw this dresser that the lines were perfect. Nice and clean with a little fancy curve on the legs. And 8 drawers! If you follow me on Instagram (@ambergil), you might have seen me ‘stagram this picture a couple of months ago: ….and it has been sitting in my garage ever since… That right there is a beautiful vintage Lane Cedar chest.  My husband and I were shopping at a local antique store awhile back (River Market Antiques for KC readers) and scored it for $125.  We loved the modern espresso finish with the vintage ‘60s vibe (the chest was actually built in 1970). We thought it would look perfect on one of the angled walls in our open living room/kitchen area…like this one (possibily) right behind our sectional.
