Crown Molding Update & Nursery To-Dos 7

We finally finished getting the crown up in the nursery this weekend! Of course, no DIY project is free of mishaps and mistakes.  And curse words.  We made a few mistakes along the way that hopefully a little caulk and paint can cover up.  But all that really matters is we have a room of completed crown molding now! Before and after: We (well, Adam) still have to caulk the seams and nail holes and paint, but the hardest part is done.  I have a bunch of tips that I need to share because there was definitely a learning curve.  And since we don’t plan to tackle crown molding in the other two rooms for quite awhile (since we’ll be rather busy with a newborn […]

Spring/Summer House To-Do List 3

Good morning & happy Monday!  Did you guys have a great weekend and St. Patty’s Day?  We had a pretty packed weekend and ran around like crazy but spend alllll day Sunday cleaning our house!  Most importantly, we steam-cleaned some of our carpets, which is HARD work! So, now that we’re in the spring cleaning spirit, we put together a list of things we’d like to accomplish this spring/summer.  Specifically on the exterior of our house.  We’ve been stuck inside all winter and now can’t wait to get outside and spruce the place up! Here’s what we’re planning for this summer: Mulch front and back yard. Side of house landscaping clean-up. French Drain maintenance/cleaning. Trim trees/bushes. Plant vegetable garden.
