Whole30 Challenge–Week 1 2

On Monday of this week, I started a Whole30 / paleo diet challenge. You can read all about the program on their website (Whole 9 Life) or check out the book, It Starts With Food.  Basically the challenge is to clean up your eating to a paleo-esque diet for 30 days.  For those that don’t know much about paleo, it’s a diet that is focused on meat, seafood, vegetables, fruit, and nuts/seeds. So, I’m now almost 5 days in and this diet is HARD.  I had no idea how much I relied on dairy and grains for my meals.  I’d kill for a piece of cheese, a glass of wine, or a piece of chocolate right about now.
